Waterproof Fox Defend 3-Layer MTB Pants

Fox Defend 3-Layer are waterproof MTB pants for riding in rain, wind, mud and wet trail conditions. They feature a three-layer construction that is at once waterproof, windproof and breathable, while fully taped interior seams help prevent water from getting in through the most exposed areas.

A DWR treatment helps repel moisture, dirt and trail debris, while strategically placed Cordura® panels boost protection and durability in high-wear areas. The MTB-specific fit is designed to allow enough room for knee pads and to stay functional in an active riding position.

Who are Fox Defend 3-Layer pants for?

They are built for mountain bikers who ride in poor weather and need more protection than standard trail pants offer. They're suitable for enduro, trail, bike park and other MTB riding where you often encounter wet ground, mud, wind and water spray.

Three-layer protection against rain, wind and moisture

The lightweight three-layer fabric combines water resistance, wind protection and breathability. This helps reduce the ingress of outside moisture while still allowing heat and moisture generated during intense riding to escape.

Fully taped seams

The interior seams are fully sealed, which helps reduce the chance of water entering through the seam lines and improves protection during prolonged wet conditions.

DWR treatment for wet and muddy trails

The DWR treatment helps repel moisture, dirt and trail debris. As a result, the surface of the material soaks up water more slowly and is easier to clean after a muddy ride.

Cordura® reinforcements for added durability

Strategically placed Cordura® panels increase abrasion resistance and add protection in areas that are more exposed to contact with the bike, vegetation or terrain during MTB riding.

MTB fit with enough room for knee pads

The fit is tailored for mountain biking and allows room for knee pads without making the pants overly baggy. This keeps them suitable for aggressive riding, descents and active movement on the bike.
